Are you excited about the upcoming of 2024 BMW X6? According to the manufacturing plan, the X6 would be sharing changes with the X5, which means that both variants would have new appeal and attraction. The current version of the X6 is already good and promising, but imagine how spectacular it would be with some of the extra updates. Some markets may see this ride as the 2023 model, but in North American market, it would be the 2024 model. Read on if you want to know more what you can get from the X6 as well as what the new tech of Sport Activity coupe can deliver for you.
X5 vs X6
In case you are wondering about the differences of both models, you should know that both of them basically have the same size. However, the X6 is coming with coupe roofline, which affects the interior space. Cargo space and headroom are reduced because of this arrangement. But if you want a luxury crossover that comes with high quality materials, great handling, and premium performance, both won’t disappoint you.
Powertrain and Performance
It seems that the powertrain management and arrangement would still be following the current options. There would be two powertrain options offered. The first one would be the inline six turbocharged (B58) unit, while the second one would be the V8 twin turbo (S68) M-tuned unit. Both would be paired together with mild hybrid system of 48V power, which has been included in X7 2023 construction.
The B58 may likely have similar output of the xDrive40i X7, which is around 375 hp and 398 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the S68 is a completely new one. Its inclusion in X6 would be its ever debut, possibly in M60i trim level. This one is claimed to deliver 523 hp and 553 Nm of torque. Those auto enthusiasts may be left unsatisfied because they believe that there is no change in the numbers – and certainly not visible increase either. However, you will get a more solid character and also sound of the pure (and true) M engine.
Design and Layout
Just like what happens to the X5, the refreshed 2024 BMW X6 would likely retain most of its looks. Based on the spy shots (although with camo), there are some possible changes that mirror the X5. Narrower headlights, wider kidneys, and lower air intakes would definitely ‘align’ this model with the remaining lineups of current BMW models. It’s possible that the side mirrors will also get M-effect, which would be similar to M Performance and also M Sport models.
There is no information about the colors just yet, but some sources say that there is a possibility of Grey Skyscraper or Grey Brooklyn. Information is very limited about the new X6 so we should wait further from the company to reveal more.
The Interior Cabin
The biggest change inside the cabin would be the curved display and the iDrive 8. There would be wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that comes along the leather upholstery as the standard. The standard features are still unknown, but you can expect improvements for the safety techs.
Price and Release Date
According to the schedule, the 2024 X6 would start coming to dealerships in 2023, around spring time. There is no information about the exact date, but we should wait for more official info from the company. Rumor has it that the price may start from around $70,000 considering that it’s claimed as a luxury line, but then again, we don’t really know for sure, so let’s wait for Beemer to have official release about their 2024 BMW X6, shall we?
