A lot of people are hopeful and expectant for the upcoming 2024 Acura RDX, which is said to offer hybrid power. But then again, it’s just rumors from those who are expectant that the new RDX would come with advanced hybrid power. Acura hasn’t provided any further information about this new RDX, so most that we are talking about are mainly rumors and predictions from many automotive enthusiasts and experts.
About the Acura RDX
The RDX has been known as this compact, but premium SUV that has all the whistles and bells. It offers standard safety and comfortable features without breaking the bank. Don’t you love it when you can have a powerful and handy vehicle without having to spend a fortune? The RDX has got a mid-cycle redesigned work for their 2022 model, so it’s logical if the 2024 won’t get any updates or upgrades. The only changes would be minor, covering new design (possibly covering the tweaks for the option pack) and also new wheel colors.
Because of the recent changes to the style, the RDX design is somewhat closer to the MDX luxury SUV with its three row arrangement. The RDX isn’t exactly designed for looks, which has its own appeal and charm for those car buyers who dislike the gaping front grille design.
Powertrain and Performance
Unfortunately, the 2024 Acura RDX would only be offered in one engine option – or at least that’s what we know of. It would be running on four cylinder turbocharged unit with 2.0 liter capacity that delivers 272 hp. It also comes with auto 10 speed transmission, with either front wheel or all wheel driving system. This alone has been enough to deliver punchy and pleasant performance. For a small and compact SUV, the ride has pretty impressive (and excellent) fuel economy outcome.
What about the hybrid power? It’s just too bad that Acura is very tight-lipped about their new RDX. Although there are rumors about the hybrid powertrain, we can’t really be sure about it until the company releases their official confirmation.
Price and Release Date
For the price tag, it can be quite high. The starting price itself would start from around $40,000 and it’s for the front wheel driving system. If you want the all wheel driving system, you may have to spend extra $2,000. The highest trim may cost you up to more than $51,000.
There have been rumors that the upcoming RDX would be release sometime in 2023, but some say that it would be available in fall time of 2022. Let’s wait for Acura for the official announcement, shall we?
