Will it be as good as the previous ones? Will it be more solid with improved performance and quality? Let’s not forget that the pickup truck sector has always had this cut-throat competition where each auto maker trying their best to come up with the newest innovation and creation. Such innovation should affect the Silverado 1500 too as it’s expected to be bolder, more capable, and more trusted.

Future Updates for Silverado 1500

The company has a pretty ambitious plan by making the electrified Silverado as well as the ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) type for the future. Even with other auto makers have completely switched to the EV models, Chevrolet is adamant to serve both of their loyal fan bases when it comes to powertrain.

The 2025 Silverado 1500 has been planned to be ready at dealerships around fall months in 2024. It would mark the final model year for this current gen of the (light duty) pickup truck. Afterwards, you can expect the new gen with its full size, new powertrain for the ICE series, and certainly new abilities and power.

What about cargo bed capacity? Don’t underestimate this matter as it’s crucial for most buyers. When compared to F-150 (from Ford), the Silverado has more dimension and cargo load. Even the short bed is able to accommodate 62.9 cubic feet, while the F-150 is ‘only’ able to accommodate 52.8 cubic feet. For the long bed, Silverado has 71.7 cubic feet while F-150 is ‘only’ 62.3 cubic feet.

Powertrain and Performance

The future Sierra and Silverado would be having new powertrains that are claimed to reduce the emissions up to 10%. After all, the company wants to achieve carbon neutrality before 2040, so it’s somewhat goes in line with their plan. Unfortunately, their new plan hasn’t been revealed much. There is no information about the Silverado EV either – whether it would be coming as a completely different lineup or will it be included into the current lineup.

Design and Appearance

The upcoming 1500 would be coming with new front fascia and also new grille. There would be more options for the exterior paint too. For the cabin, expect a complete makeover that makes it plush and comfy. The higher trim should be coming with a reshaped dash, new seats, and also new center console. Again, more color options would be available.

In terms of features and technologies, it depends on the trim. However, the Safety Assist technology would be offered as the standard feature for all trims. The higher trim, the High County, may get the Super Cruise technology with sophisticated hands free driving system.

We don’t know much about the price range or availability, so we should provide more about 2025 Silverado 1500 once detailed specs and techs are available.
