2025 Toyota Celica Imagined Design if Ever Manufactured

Although the 2025 Toyota Celica may not be manufactured or made, it doesn’t hurt to dream. Everyone is allowed to imagine what the future Celica may look like, but with a professional touch, it would be easier to envision what the car would look like. So, what can we learn about the upcoming Celica – or what possibly be made of?

About the Celica

In case you don’t know it, Toyota Celica is a sport coupe made by Toyota Motor Corporation from the 70s to 2006. Since then, the nameplate has been dropped, and the Japanese auto maker hasn’t been thinking about bring back the badge, considering that their hand is already full with their current models and variants.

According to the company, they really have no empty space for the Celica, even if it is manufactured into a modern day ride. Previously, it was believed that the company would be able to slot in the Celica between their current lineup of sports rides GR Supra and GR86. But it turned out that they really don’t have the space for the new Celica.

The Digital Rendering Images

It’s a good thing that there is a professional digital artist that is able to envision what the future Celica would look like and create the visual for better view. Alexis Poncelet, a professional designer, managed to ‘visually’ created a modern version of 2025 Toyota Celica, inspired by Esprit Suzuka, a Japanese turner. Keep in mind that the images are only imagined designed, and they aren’t related to Toyota or being endorsed by the auto maker.

Alexis Poncelet himself is working for GAC, a Chinese auto maker, but he likes to create visual images during his free time, and then share it on his Instagram for his followers. The latest work is his creation of Celica T250, his personal project that has been ‘idle’ for a while. He finally decided to revisit it and then gives it extra touchup. He uses Esprit Suzuka as his inspiration for his visual upgrades.

Design and Style

The car’s 3D model somewhat looks wider, lower, and longer when compared to previous Celica ever manufactured. It may not be 100% having Celica DNA, but you can still find some familiar elements and features, such as the surfacing or the greenhouse. This is similar to the evolution design incorporated by the 7th generation of Celica, running from 1999 to 2006.

The super wide fenders on both the front and the back look good when combined together with the (massive) carbon fiber splitter, together with side mounted exhaust tips and also extended side sills. The rear end somewhat looks dark with the horizontally mounted (LED) taillights with Genesis style, together with the same big diffuser and also fixed rear wing. Poncelet even provided a ‘bonus’: the digital version of Bosozoku, which follows Wingo lines (the fictional character from Cars).

Powertrain and Performance

Because there has never been a confirmation about the 2025 model Celica ever being produced, we can’t really be sure about the powertrain or the possible unit layout. But if we can take the image as a basic inspiration, we can be sure that the powertrain option would be solid and promising. With racing look-alike design, it’s only logical if the company is thinking about matching it up with also powerful and punchy powertrain. But I guess we never know, right?

Final Words

The racecar style (and unique) Celica concept may stay in the digital world for good, as long as the company doesn’t see the importance for the design to see the light of day. But Toyota may have a change of heart later, and they may reconsider their options to make the affordable 2025 Toyota Celica sports ride in the end.
