2025 Kia Stinger EV Possible Manufacturing Process

Rumor has it that the Korean auto manufacturer is putting an end to their Stinger, but what if they are making 2025 Kia Stinger EV? What if they can plan up an electric replacement that will improve the appeal of the big and sporty sedan? What will it look like with the design and everything? It looks like an interesting plan, so let’s take a deeper look into the company’s planning and design, shall we?

About the Stinger

Stinger is Kia’s product that comes with hatchback style (but with four door layout). The standard driving system is rear wheel, but it also offers all wheel driving system as the optional pick. Many people like to compare the Stinger as the Gran Coupe 4-Series from Beemer, but the starting price is much more affordable; set within the range of an affordable sports ride. Another thing to like about this model is the fact that it runs on four cylinder turbocharged unit with 300 hp which is quite punchy and zippy.

The Current Condition

As it was mentioned before, Stinger is basically an interesting ride. With the combination of solid performance and also attractive appearance, the sedan is definitely making a bold statement. Despite all the good stuff, the sales numbers haven’t been promising. But then again, Kia managed to create a reputation of itself and also the model as one of the most credible performance cars ever designed.

Unfortunately, electrification plan may somewhat obstruct the sedan’s further development and progress. Aside from the continuously reducing numbers of interest in the sedan market, electrification isn’t the most ideal scheme. Kia has been focusing on the all electric EV6, which has become their performance model. Because of these situations, it’s quite logical if Kia plans on cutting off the Stinger.

What about a replacement? Well, the company’s Sohari plant is now switching to EV and hybrid production. It means that if the company wants to have a replacement model for the Stinger, they would have to plan on an electric model.

The (Daring) Design

Just because we aren’t sure about the future of 2025 Kia Stinger EV, it doesn’t mean that we can’t really imagine what it looks like. It’s a good thing that there are some imagined rendering images of the Stinger (or what it would look like) when it comes to production.

From the rendering images, the designer is able to keep the best elements of the sedan while including some of the newest details and patterns. On the front area, we can see an appealing (sharp edged( graphic that incorporates the precise lighting elements, mixed well with smooth surface and suggestive intakes.

Going upward, you can see appealing (and shapely) hood that retains the twin vent design, while the greenhouse style (with its frameless style) is inspired by the EV6, including the aesthetic floating roof. As if it weren’t enough, you can also find rear wheel driving bias with axle to dash ratio and also a pumped fender that delivers a solid stance visual effect. Top it off with side vents and lower splitter, and you can enjoy a highly appealing design.

Powertrain and Performance

The current Stinger is running on V6 twin turbo unit that delivers 368 hp and also 376 Nm of torque. It may look good on paper, but it can’t really compete against Gran Coupe M440i from Beemer. Hopefully, Kia is going to do something about it. they may be inspired by the EV6 with its dual motor layout and 577 hp of output, able to cover 60 mph in only 3.5 seconds.

Again, we aren’t still sure about the future of the Stinger, but if the Korean auto maker is going to make 2025 Kia Stinger EV, they should do it right.
