2025 Chevy Corvette Coupe and SUV in the Making

With tons of expectations for the 2025 Chevy Corvette, it’s only logical that many auto enthusiasts have been waiting for it. When the company decided to make something different with their C8 gen, debuted in the late 2019, they came up with Corvette having a mid-engine layout. As if it weren’t enough, Chevy made a further modern development (for their sports ride line) by introducing the E-Ray hybrid 2024 model. But then again, they didn’t stop there. They even introduced the (fully) electric model to the lineup.

Although the company hasn’t made any confirmation or whatsoever, they finally confirmed that their new Corvette EV is due for manufacturing and production. Many are hopeful that the new ride would be coming with a powerful and punchier three powertrain options, even up to four options, that can deliver 1000 hp and paired up with all wheel driving system as the standard.

Design and Style

In terms of design and visual appeal, the new 2025 Chevy Corvette will still be coming with a two seat layout. It means that it’s a carryover design from the gas-powered model. With the new Corvette designed as an all electric sports ride, it means that the company is going to competition with Porsche 718 (the electric version) and the Dodge Challenger eMuscle. All of these models are targeting the EV category. Again, the Corvette EV would be added to the (Corvette) lineup when it’s introduced to the market.

Price and Trim Level

There are likely some trim levels being offered for the new Corvette EV. For the price range, it would start from around $150,000. The base trim would be the 1LT, offered at around $150,000. A higher trim level would be the 2LT with a price tag of $160,000. The highest trim would be the 3LT with estimated tag of $170,000.

The EV has higher price range when compared to its gas powered model, whose base trim is ‘only’ offered at around $63,000. But these are only the predictions and estimation because the company hasn’t made any official announcement. For now, the Corvette EV would be coming as a coupe, but there is a possibility that it would be also designed as a convertible.

The SUV Model

Rumor has it that a Corvette nameplate would also be used for an SUV. This is probably odd and different, but Chevrolet has tried their best to expand the market. Their plan to manufacture Corvette coupe is already set, so it’s quite a surprising to know that they are also planning an EV SUV. It wasn’t an easy decision for them, but they have finally decided to make the SUV model after being hesitant for years.

According to some sources, the SUV would be coming with 800V of electrical system and also electric motors, chargeable at 350 kW. They want to create a performance focused vehicle with punchy performance. The SUV would be coming as a five-seater vehicle having generous cargo space, seriously fast performance, and ground clearance.

In terms of price and trim level, the offered trim levels would be the same, but with different price tags. The base trim, the 1LT, would be offered for $80,000. The 2LT would be offered at around $90,000, and the highest trim level (the 3LT) would be offered at around $100,000. This would be an ideal ride for families, especially those who want comfort, space, and performance.

Release Date

It’s not really known when the Corvette would be exactly introduced to the public. But considering that it’s designed as a 2025 model, it’s highly likely that it may launch in 2024. We should know more about the 2025 Chevy Corvette when the company releases more info.
