The new 2024 Hyundai Sonata would be having a redesigned touchup. It’s quite really surprising that the new Sonata would be coming as the 2024 model year considering that there have been some rumors about Hyundai discontinuing the Sonata for the upcoming production. Until now, however, there hasn’t been any confirmation that the Sonata would be stop producing, making people are quite hopeful and expectant for the upcoming 2024 Sonata. Let’s not forget that Sonata has been known as one of the most popular and also best selling sedans in its segment. The sales reports for the 2020 and also 2021 were also quite good.
The Updated Plan
The 2023 Sonata was coming with minor changes as it was a carryover from the 2022 model year. It got a redesigned work back then in 2020 because it was the first introduction of the eight gen of Sonata. The 2024 model may not be coming as the new gen, but it’s most likely that it would be redesigned for the future production. At least, if it doesn’t get any fancy or extravagant changes, it would get some refresh updates. Some of the changes would cover the exterior appearance as well as the interior cabin.
Again, Hyundai hasn’t said anything about their plan for the 2024 Hyundai Sonata. They don’t even state anything about the possibility of producing one or about its existence. But since they haven’t said anything about shutting down Sonata’s production either, we can rest assured that they have something in store for the new Sonata – they haven’t said anything about it just yet.
The Possible Facelift
If there is going to be a refresh attempt, it’s possible that Hyundai would be replacing the Sonata’s eyebrow –like and flashy (daytime) running light with a new model. A lot of auto enthusiasts predict that the new light would be coming with a more squared and new front appearance. The headlight clusters would be moved further down the front bumper area. Hyundai is refreshing the Kona, so Sonata would be getting similar redesigned work. Most likely, they would share the updates together.
The Interior Cabin
The Sonata has always been known as a reliable sedan with good interior cabin. For the 2024 model, it would have at least improved comfort and convenience. Ventilated and heated front seats can be expected, together with auto climate control. The cabin is spacious and generous, including the one on the rear area. Legroom and headroom should be coming with more comfort and ease.
Possible Release Date
There hasn’t been any information about the release date of the next Sonata. But if the current model can give you insight and ideas, you should know that the 2023 Sonata was made ready in December 2022. So, if the 2024 Sonata would be coming, it’s highly likely that Hyundai would launch it in December 2023.
Trim Levels and Price
To give you ideas of what possible trim levels would be available for the 2024 Sonata. There are 8 different trim levels, including the hybrid models. The base trim level would be the SE with quite an affordable price tag of $26,000. The next one would be the SEL with a tag of $28,000. Afterwards, there would be the SEL Plus with a tag of $33,000 and then N Line with a price of $35,000. Going up, there is the Limited with a tag of $36,000.
For the hybrid line, it starts with Blue Hybrid with a tag of $29,000, followed by SEL hybrid in $32,000 range. The last one would be Limited Hybrid with a tag of $37,000. If the 2024 would be a carryover model (at least when it comes to trim levels), then you can expect almost similar trim options and also price range. We should know more about 2024 Hyundai Sonata once more information is available.
